The Craft Shop & Café

Crafts

The Workhouse craft shop has a range of local crafts on offer including lovely McNutts Donegal blankets, locally made scarves, pictures, jewellery and home made jams and pickles.

Toys

There is a selection of toys for the children to spend their pocket money on and plenty of activity games or crafts to while away those rainy Donegal days or buckets and spades for the beach.

Books

There is a great range of books available; light reading for your holiday, Irish history and a number of locally written books covering a variety of topics, such as “Our Wee House” by Lena Wilson.  There are also high quality second hand books available for €2.00, all proceeds go to the maintenance of the Workhouse.

Café

There is a selection of home made baking such as scones, apple and cinnamon cake, coffee cake or a nice creamy meringue.  The lunch specials focus on local, seasonal produce with home made bread. The café serves Miscel D’Oro coffee and a range of Suki teas, both high quality products.

All our café offerings are available to take away and cakes can be ordered in advance.

The jams and chutneys served are also available to buy as a gift or to take home.
